I have installed beta 2 on my Sony VAIO FS115s laptop. All is well apart from the fact that I cannot connect to my network wirelessly, though I can connect using a wired connection.
The laptop has an Intel Pro/Wireless 2200gb card and Vista indicates that the driver is installed and supposedly working. My network utilitises 64-bit WEP and I have entered the appropriate key.
The network is detected but when I tell Vista to connect I just get option to Diagnose connection problems.
My question is, should I expect this configuration to work on beta 2? If so, can you give me some advice on how I can get it up and running?
Thanks in advance, John.

Beta 2 won't connect to my wireless network

That is not helpful at all. Sadly, there seem to be a lack of drivers for the Intel wireless 2200bg adapter.

John, I have exactly the same problem on my Toshiba M30X laptop with built-in 2200 BG.
I succeeded connecting after hours searching... the only thing to do for now is to totally disable wep or wpa authentication on your access point. It works, it's unsecure, etc... but it works !!
And excuse me for my poor frenchy english... Regards. Chris

I wonder if Microsoft will releasse a fix for this before they release the final version of Vista.

Microsoft does not write drivers. They have to wait for Intel to supply them. If Intel supplies working better drivers, then they will be included. My bet is that RTM will have good Intel wireless drivers.
